The receptionists always speak and make sure I feel welcome. The dental hygienists are also very thorough When cleaning and other exams. Dr. Michele Simpson, DDS
Dr. Simpson graduated from Case Western Reserve school of Dentistry in 2001.
Originally from York Pennsylvania, Dr. Simpson completed her undergraduate education at Towson University in Maryland.
After completing her Doctorate of Dental Surgery, Dr. Simpson attended a general practice residency at York Hospital in Pennsylvania. There, she remained an additional 2 years as an Attending Dentist. As an attending Dentist, she had the privilege of lecturing to new graduates as well as treating the dental needs of medically compromised in-patients, trauma in the ER, and outpatients in the hospital dental clinic. Dr. Simpson moved to North Carolina in 2004, where she was the owner and practitioner of a private dental practice in Roanoke Rapids.
In 2015 Dr. Simpson opened Wilmington Smile Design Center located in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Dr. Simpson is one of the leading cosmetic dentists in the area. She has dedicated over 600 hours in the past 5 years to learning advanced dentistry at the World Renowned Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies where she was awarded her Fellowship in Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Simpson is passionate about smile transformations and strives to give everyone the beautiful smile they deserve.
As an LVI-trained dentist, Dr. Simpson also provides a non-surgical approach to the treatment of TMD/TMJ. She’s had significant success applying LVI methods of treatment and is highly sought after for her skills in this field of dentistry.
In addition to her continuing education in Las Vegas, Simpson has spent the last four years learning advanced techniques in orthodontics at the Center for Occlusal Studies with the internationally renowned practitioner and lecturer, Dr. Jay Gerber. Her practice provides full orthodontics for children and adults looking to gain a beautiful smile.
Dr. Simpson has also completed advanced laser training and is currently the only practitioner in the Wilmington, NC area offering the most advanced treatment options using Laser Dentistry with the Fontana Lightwalker. Laser dentistry offers a broad treatment for homeopathic fillings requiring no anesthetic. Laser whitening, Lip Plumping, SmoothLase, and SnoreLase are just a few of the additional features available with laser dentistry.
Dr. Kenneth L. Anderson
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Kenneth L. Anderson has been with Coastal Jaw Surgery since 2017. For the past 7 years, he has been practicing as a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. Dr. Anderson specializes in dental alveolar surgery, Zygomatic implants, nerve repositioning for dental implants, temporary crowns for dental implants, temporary implants, guided implant surgery, complex bone and soft tissue grafting, general anesthesia, facial trauma, platelet rich fibrin, oral pathology including jaw cysts and tumors. In Trinity, Florida, he participates in Coastal Jaw Surgery's Pinnacle Study Club, which teaches dental clinicians in the Tampa Bay area. Dr. Anderson is located in the Spring Hill office.
Among the areas of specialty for Dr. Anderson include dental alveolar surgery, implants, hard and soft tissue grafting, general anesthesia, facial trauma, cleft palates, and orthognathic surgeries. In addition to undergoing continuing education programs across the country, Dr. Anderson is continually learning and expanding his knowledge. Dr. Anderson has attended Dr. Arnett’s course for orthognathic surgery and Dr. Bedrossian’s zygomatic implant training courses. He works closely with various other medical and dental specialties including dentists, ENT, and sleep specialists.
